Product Research

Focus group research was central to our design for the Perspective™ reporting system and companion websites. Pearson’s usability specialists conducted face-to-face focus groups as well as one-on-one interviews with more than 100 teachers, principals, test coordinators, and parents before we built our customized reporting and online resource solution. Additonal studies have been conducted with over 100 students in the classroom setting to focus on student needs and interests.  We are committed to continuous improvement of our products and services, and perform ongoing research in support of these improvements.

Timeliness of information
Perspective offers rapid report delivery so that teachers and students can benefit from the information as soon as possible. The customized resources and a dynamic rostering capability give teachers access to up-to-date performance reports for their most current or incoming class list.

Audience-specific reports
Perspective offers paper and online reports that are customized to the specific needs of administrators, teachers, and families. Designed by experts, in consultation with clients, Perspective delivers custom reports that  specifically address client needs.

Easy access to credible resources
Perspective offers a web portal with separate sites for families and educators that provides access to customized intervention and enrichment recommendations. We work with clients to identify those resources that align to state standards and address specific needs. Clients with existing content can also be accommodated within Perspective.
