Study Guides
Providing a Quick and Effective Path to Student Remediation
Your school's state assessment results are in. What's next? Each child’s Student Report gives their scores for the tests, including a breakdown of their performance on specific skills and whether they’re working at expected levels for their grade. Now is the time to bridge any gaps by providing additional learning opportunities from Perspective™. With a click of the mouse, you can choose Interactive Study Guides from the Perspective website. Study Guide activities can be teacher-led or performed independently. The Study Guides also help parents to participate actively in their student’s learning.
Flexible
Interactive Study Guides are a web-based service designed for flexibility. Teachers and families can use them in the classroom, at home, or in after-school programs to boost formal instruction. At the Perspective website, you can either enter a Learning Locator™ from the Student Report, or select a grade level. These online study guides provide interactive screens with activities, practice questions, answers, and feedback.
Study Guides offer a Table of Contents with direct links to targeted concepts.
Focused
The Learning Locator pinpoints the knowledge and skills a student hasn’t yet mastered, and automatically creates a custom table of contents appropriate to the student’s needs. The table of contents makes navigation easy. Your students are directed to only those activities that meet their individual situation. Students who are working at expected performance levels may benefit from enrichment activities, easily accessed by selecting a different grade level. Study Guide materials focus on the specific skills measured by the assessment, whether tied to Common Core or your state’s independent standards.
Interactive Study Guides are available in English and Spanish.
Effective
Today’s students, born into a digital world, expect media-based instruction. Perspective’s Interactive Study Guides help you meet them where they are, with links to online learning materials developed by the education professionals at Pearson. The activities include reviews, guided practice, self-assessment, real-time feedback, and attractive designs to effectively engage even reluctant learners.
Study Guide activities provide practice with interactive instruction and real-time feedback.
